I love big pictures & fun displays for them. I believe strongly that we shouldn’t just let our images collect dust on our hard drives but should be proudly displaying them in our homes. Pictures can totally finish off a room and make it have that personal touch. I encourage you all to start thinking about ways to get those pictures on your walls! So to start things off I thought I’d show you what we have on our walls. I planned on doing a lot more all over the house, but with turning it into a home studio I have to keep a few walls bare for sessions. We have plans for more photo galleries and hopefully soon we will have the time to finish the others! This is just a few ways I have images up at my house…
This lovely idea was my husbands and I LOVE it! We wanted to tie the twine to old fashioned door knobs but we weren’t so successful finding them. I painted the clothes pins and then we secured the images to the wall to not tilt by using command strips. I also LOVE command strips :) Oh and this is in my office!
This big daddy screamed a photo gallery when we first moved in, the hard part was designing the puzzle and then picking the right pictures for each piece. I often find myself looking at this display and smiling… I love my little family :) Again, secured with command strips.
Here is a pull back of the family room display. The picture on the right is the opposite wall in my office. As you can see, I’m not a frame person too much. Though I do have a plan for a framed gallery wall, but I will be removing the glass because I personally feel that ruins the effect of a big beautiful image. So start thinking about what wall you want to start filling with beautiful memories and next week I’ll help by giving a few more tips and tricks to encourage you!
